Through Orange Framed-Glasses…
it’s a really… colorful world.

Did you know that it takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes from my house to the Antipolo area of Marcos Hi-way by walking?

You didn’t?  Well, now you do.  Oh, and I think it takes less time going back to my house from the Antipolo area of Marcos Hi-way if you cut through Major Dizon in Marikina para pag labas mo, Katipunan na kaagad.  Wala lang, share ko lang.  :D

Di kasi ako makatulog kaninang umaga.  So I decided, what the hell, it’s been a long time since I’ve done this shit.  And since I’ve never actually walked to Antipolo before via Marcos Hi-way, and I’ve only been there like twice or something, courtesy of Mia and Friday, I figured it was worth doing.  So I snuck out of the house-

(interrupting thought: wouldn’t it have been funny if my parents had caught me sneaking out of the house, only to find out I was just gonna walk around?  But around meaning AROUND?)

and brought an arnis stick along, just in case.  Di mo lang alam di ba.  I walked to Galle, and then to the EDSA monument statue, and then to White Plains, and then to Katipunan, and then to Antipolo.  Yey. Nung pabalik, ampota, sumasakit na hita and calves ko.

But it’s really fascinating, finding out that even early in the morning, a lot of people were still awake, and not just the call center agents.  We have taxi drivers (who kept asking if I wanted a taxi), security guards, bar performers, and a lot of other people commuting in buses and jeeps.  Ano kayang pinaggagagawa nung mga ‘yun?  I mean, ako alam ko baliw lang ako.  Sila?  Ma.

Oh yeah, I was also kinda a witness to some motorcycle riding guy smashing into one of those stone MMDA barricades.  Fun.  Tapos for some reason, nagmadali ang mga tao sa kanyang tabi, either to help him up or hold him, kasi biglang may dumating na mga pulis.

Oh and for some reason, dogs kept barking at me.  One actually kind of followed me around barking, and one ran right into my path, barking.  Good thing I had a stick, and good thing cars were still around, because that dog was forced back to where he came from.  Damn dogs.  Naligo naman ako no.  Or was it because there was a malignant spirit following me around or something?  Ewan ko.  I wasn’t exactly suicidal last night.

It’s also kinda freaky walking around early in the morning, kasi wala pang bukas na street lights masyado. If I was the person who believed in ghosts, I probably would have freaked out.

Wala lang.  So after grabbing a bite at a Burger King (and witnessing some couple terrorizing the staff at 3 in the freaking morning!) I walked home.  And arrived at the house a little past 5. Haha.  I used loufa para siguradong tanggal.  And then tulog.  At least finally inantok ako di ba?

Kasi alam ko my dad wakes up at 5 in the morning or something.  Wouldn’t it have been something if around 3 am, they check my room, find me missing, and call me on my cell?

Dad: Asan ka???

Ako: Uh… Antipolo?

Dad: Anong ginagawa mo diyan???

Ako: Uh… Naglalakad?

Haha.

Hmm… saan kaya susunod?  Alabang?  Well, next week na.  Pagod pa ako eh.

Maybe I should like be a performance artist.  And this would be my art.  Mwahahaha.
